ANDRAE VAUGHN RODGERS

Andraé Vaughn Rodgers is an Oakland, CA. native who discovered a love for writing in his early teens. Although his favorite genre is poetry, he has experience with creative writing, and has dabbled with writing newsletters and plays.

Andraé also has an extensive background working with young people in various capacities. He has worked for school districts, a youth mental health facility, after school programs, a group home, and the YMCA. He has also spent time volunteering at juvenile hall and served as a youth pastor for 20 years.

Andraé's Love for God, youth and writing is what paved the way for his 1st children's book, "Eye See I Love". The purpose of his book is to teach self-worth. It is often easy to find love in things around us. But we must understand that love begins in us. When love is discovered within, it can easily be shared with the world. We are perfectly imperfect; uniquely created individuals, no one could ever take our place. This is a message that is necessary. One that Andraé believes should be urgently shared with the world.
